The Dynamic PCR Spread [Part-2]

[PCR = Problem - Challenge - Resolution]

Now we need to consider one more factor before we get to an actual reading. Let's look at the position meanings again and figure out the 'Positional Dignities'. You don't have to use positional dignities but I did write the spread with them in mind.

Here are the position meanings again.

1.) What is the Seekers Mental/Emotional State
     [Deal cards out until a Sword or Cup card comes up]

2.) What Past Influences Have Effected the Seeker?
     [Deal cards out until a major arcana card comes up]

3.) What is their Current Situation/Problem?
     [Deal cards out until a Wand or Pentacles card comes up]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4.) What Challenges/ Obstacles are Facing the Seeker?
     [Deal cards out until a Sword or Cup card comes up]
5.) What is the Worse Possible Course of Action for the Seeker to Take?
     [Deal cards out until a major arcana card comes up]
6.) What Forces [Internal or External] are Working Against the Seeker?
     [Deal cards out until a Wand or Pentacles card comes up]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7.) Who Can Help the Seeker the Most?
     [Keep dealing cards until a court card comes up]

8.) What is the Best Possible Course of Action for the Seeker to Take?
     [Anything BUT a court card]

9.) What Does the Future Hold for the Seeker?
     [Anything BUT a court card]

The first three position meanings all have a 'Neutral Positional Dignity or NeuPD' as does position #9. All this means is that the cards that come up in positions 1, 2, 3, and 9 are read in their normal fashion and according to their individual dignities [See Part-3 on Elemental Dignities].

Positions 4, 5, and 6 all have 'Negative Positional Dignities or NegPD's'. This tells you to look at the card in a negative manner even if it's a positive card like The Sun, The Star, the 10 of Pentacles, the 2 of Cups, and so on.

Positions 7 and 8 both have 'Positive Positional Dignities or PosPD's'. In these two positions even a negative card would be read with it's most positive interpretations - even if you have to go out of your way to find some.

Positional Dignities are based on how the position meaning is worded. Challenges/Obstacles, Worse Possible Course of Action, and Forces Working Against the Seeker all have negative connotation and thus are negative position meanings and thus have a negative positional dignity [NegPD].

Who Can Help the Seeker the Most, and the Best Possible Course have very positive conotations and are both positive position meanings and have positive positional dignities or [PosPD].

The other position meanings (1, 2, 3, and 9) could go either way, as is the case with most position meanings so these are neutral positional dignities or [NeuPD].

Updating the spread positions we end up with the following.

1.) What is the Seekers Mental/Emotional State [NeuPD]
     [Deal cards out until a Sword or Cup card comes up]

2.) What Past Influences Have Effected the Seeker? [NeuPD]
     [Deal cards out until a major arcana card comes up]

3.) What is their Current Situation/Problem? [NeuPD]
     [Deal cards out until a Wand or Pentacles card comes up]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
4.) What Challenges/ Obstacles are Facing the Seeker? [NegPD]
     [Deal cards out until a Sword or Cup card comes up]
5.) What is the Worse Possible Course of Action for the Seeker to Take? [NegPD]
     [Deal cards out until a major arcana card comes up]
6.) What Forces [Internal or External] are Working Against the Seeker? [NegPD]
     [Deal cards out until a Wand or Pentacles card comes up]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7.) Who Can Help the Seeker the Most? [PosPD]
     [Keep dealing cards until a court card comes up]

8.) What is the Best Possible Course of Action for the Seeker to Take? [PosPD]
     [Anything BUT a court card]

9.) What Does the Future Hold for the Seeker? [NeuPD]
     [Anything BUT a court card]

Next up a actual layout and some goodies on elemental dignities.
